This class will include a mixture of resistance-based exercises, plyometric movements, core training, and cardiovascular fitness elements.

It's absolutely ideal for anyone looking to improve their strength, speed, power, agility, endurance, and overall athletic performance.

The class is open to anyone and everyone, of all fitness levels. 

Strength Training For Runners

INJURY PREVENTION FOR RUNNERS

 Have you signed up for a 5K, 10K, half marathon or marathon? Are you looking at ways to build strength and reduce your risk of injury? Then come try a new weekly session.

Sessions run every Tuesday between 5-6pm and it would be great to see you there. Sessions are open to runners of all abilities and experience levels.

Sessions cost just £5 or £4 for members of York Knavesmire Harriers.

Friday Fitness Strength Training

FRIDAY FITNESS: STRENGTH TRAINING

Want to develop speed, strength and power in the ring? Have you signed up for a marathon? Are you looking at ways to reduce your risk of injury? Then come try a new weekly session.

The session is open to all abilities,  experience levels and participants of any sport.

Session is free for DNA MMA members, £5 for non-members or £4 for members of York Knavesmire Harriers.


Fighting Fit

Tuesdays 1pm, Wednesdays 11am

Conditioning and Resistance Training geared towards practical application in Martial Arts! 

Anyone and everyone is welcome, but it's not for the faint-hearted! 

The class is constructed around practical Martial Arts performance, but it useful for anyone and everyone, as it's chiefly full-body exercise! 

Group Workout

First of all... if you're not confident in the gym, we would definitely recommend getting a PT, and we have some excellent PTs here at DNA Gym! 

But perhaps you only need a few pointers with your lifts, or you'd like some company when you're training? Perhaps someone to push you and keep you accountable? 

If any of this is true for you, join Dust for a Group Workout session for only £5! 

Sessions are 1 hour and vary in muscle-groups and equipment used! 

We will help you learn how to use the equipment properly and effectively, to maximise your physical progress! 

FAST FRIDAY: THRESHOLD SESSION

Runners of York, come try a threshold session to help take your running to the next level. The session consists of 30minutes of threshold effort work (running at 10K - half marathon pace).

 The first session is on Friday 26th July and it would be great to see you there. The session is open to runners of all abilities so please come give it a try.

Meet at DNA Gym, York (What3Words: ///lows.skill.vine) on Friday 26th July for a 7pm start. The session will finish at approximately 8pm. Please note that the session will take place on cycle lanes nearby, the gym serves as a meeting point. 

 The session will start with a 1mile warm up jog and some drills. The session will then end with a 1mile jog cool down. 

 Sessions are FREE!
